Together We Cope

“Together We Cope” alerted us of an urgent need.  They are seeing a substantial uptick in requests for food from the homeless. They report a need for food that can be eaten with minor preparation. Examples:  cup-o-noodles, e-z open canned soup, jams, jellies and peanut butter, smoked sausage and summer sausage, trail mix, canned tuna, chicken, and ham, spam, canned fruit or fruit cups, apple sauce, pickles, pork and beans, canned chili & beef stew, raisins, dried fruit, tomato & fruit juices in small portions, healthy cereals, granola bars, nuts, Ensure, etc…

 

Night Ministry- Soup March 24

Calling all cooks!  Hope is headed to serve the homeless in Chicago alongside the Night Ministry again in late March and we need soup to serve.  We are looking for people to help prepare the soup on Wednesday, March 24th, at 10AM at Hope.  If you can help out, please let Mary Van Loh know and she'll give you the instructions you need to get going.  Mary can be reached at or 708.448.3498.

 

Greater Chicagoland Food Depository - June 5

1:30-4:30 PM

The deacons invite you to package food at the Greater Chicagoland Food Depository. We need a total of 15 volunteers.
